About Wellington
Air Conditioning Repair in Wellington, FL.
Most homes in this equestrian village went up during the building boom of the 1990s and 2000s, so the air conditioner we are called to fix is usually an aging original or a second system well into middle age. That is the stretch when run capacitors weaken, contactors pit, blower motors wear out and indoor coils begin to leak. Many Wellington homes are two-story, and the upstairs air handler often sits in the attic, where a clogged drain does more than stop the cooling: the overflow can soak through the ceiling below. Being inland, outdoor units escape the salt that corrodes equipment on the coast, but low ground and the long rainy season keep the air heavy with moisture, and drain lines clog with algae more often than many owners expect. Grass clippings and mulch crowd condenser coils in neighborhoods like Olympia and Versailles, and larger estates in the equestrian district south of Pierson Road may run several systems across the main house and other buildings. Summer thunderstorms add surge damage to contactors, control boards and thermostats, which is why a dead system after a storm is a familiar call.
About this service
Air Conditioning Repair in Wellington
When your AC stops working in South Florida, every minute counts. With summer temperatures regularly hitting the mid-90s and humidity levels that make it feel even hotter, a broken air conditioner turns your home or business into an uncomfortable situation fast. Swift Air Conditioning provides professional AC repair across Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, and St. Lucie counties, with technicians available around the clock to get your system back up and running.
Our licensed technicians (FL #CAC1820211) diagnose and repair all major AC brands and system types, including central air, ductless mini-splits, and heat pumps. Common issues we handle daily include refrigerant leaks, frozen evaporator coils, faulty compressors, blown capacitors, thermostat malfunctions, and drainage problems. South Florida's salt air and constant humidity create unique wear patterns on HVAC equipment, and our team has 18+ years of experience working in these exact conditions.

We'll explain what went wrong, walk you through your options, and give you a clear price before we start any work. No surprises, no hidden fees. We believe in fixing what's broken and being honest about what needs replacement versus what can be repaired.

Local details
Air Conditioning Repair details for Wellington.
The attic is often the first stop in a two-story Wellington home. We check the drain pan for standing water and rust, clear the line, confirm the float switch shuts the unit down when it should and look for ceiling stains that hint at past overflows. Blower motors and their capacitors are frequent replacements up there because they run long hours in a hot space. At the outdoor unit, we test the capacitor and contactor, clear out grass and mulch and check refrigerant pressures. A low charge means a leak somewhere, and we find it before any refrigerant goes in. For systems installed when the neighborhood was new, a failed compressor or coil raises the repair-or-replace question, especially when the equipment uses a phased-out refrigerant. We put both paths in front of you with the cost of each, and if you choose replacement, we handle the permit. Larger equestrian properties may have several systems, and we can diagnose each one during the same visit, so you end up with one clear picture of the whole property.

Got questions?
Frequently asked questions
In most cases, water has gotten past the drain pan, either because the line clogged and the pan overflowed or because the pan rusted through. Turn the system off at the thermostat so no more water comes down. In our humid climate, algae and sludge build up in drain lines, and a float switch that is missing or stuck lets the overflow reach the ceiling. We clear the line, test or replace the switch, check the pan and tell you what else needs attention before doing any work.
A breaker that trips again and again is protecting your home from an electrical problem, so don't keep resetting it. Common causes include a failing capacitor, a compressor that struggles to start, a shorted fan or blower motor, or damaged wiring. Power surges from summer storms can also leave parts weakened. Leave the breaker off and call us. We test each component with a meter, find the one drawing too much power and explain the fix and its cost first.
First we ask what you have noticed, such as odd noises, water, or rooms that stopped cooling. Then we check the thermostat and power, inspect the drain and float switch, test capacitors, contactors and motors and measure refrigerant pressures. Once we know the cause, we explain it in plain language and give you the price before starting. We repair all major brands, not just Daikin. If the system turns out to need replacement, we walk you through the options and handle the permit.
In most cases, we can have a technician at your door the same day you call. For emergency situations, we offer priority response with technicians available 24/7 across Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, and St. Lucie counties.
Repair costs depend on what's wrong with the system. Simple fixes like a bad capacitor or thermostat issue run much less than a compressor or refrigerant leak repair. We always provide a clear quote before starting work so you know exactly what to expect.
